Marissa Erminio Named PSAC Volleyball Player of the Week

Lock Haven, Pa.

Marissa Erminio became the first Pitt-Johnstown student-athlete to garner Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Player of the Week honors when she was named the PSAC East Volleyball Player of the Week on October 15.  The 2013-24 season marks the first for Pitt-Johnstown in the PSAC after spending six seasons as members of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC)... Eminio, a freshman, outside hitter from Hopwood, Pa., helped the Lady Cats remain unbeaten in PSAC East play with three victories last week.  Eminio charted 3.22 kills/set on a .312 hitting percentage along with 3.77 digs/set and a total of seven blocks.  In a 3-0 sweep of Lock Haven, Eminio, a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, recorded 13 kills and 20 digs, along with a solo block and two block assists. In 3-0 wins over West Chester and Cheyney, she notched a pair of service aces.  Pitt-Johnstown is currently riding a seven-match winning streak heading into a PSAC crossover weekend.
 
Clarion University's Laura Subject was named the PSAC West Player of the Week after leading the Golden Eagles to three key conference road wins last week by recording at least 56 set assists and 12 digs in each match.
