Barbera Named NCBWA Honorable Mention All-Region

Pitt-Johnstown junior second baseman Nick Barbera (Harrisburg, Pa.), a Second-Team All-WVIAC selection, was named National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Honorable mention All-Atlantic Region when the teams were released on Wednesday. Concord University's Greyson Schram was the NCBWA Player of the Year, Noah Mull (Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University) was the Pitcher of the Year and California University-PA's Mike Conte was tabbed Coach of the Year... Barbera, an Honorable All-WVIAC choice and a First-Team All-Region selection a year ago, led Pitt-Johnstown in hitting (.390), hits (64), runs (48) and at-bats (164). He was also second on the team in on-base percentage (.453), total bases (84) and walks (17) and fourth in slugging percentage (.512).
