Pitt-Johnstown sophomore middle hitter Kendall Mahony, the PSAC East Player of the Year, and sophomore Libero Devan Orr, the PSAC East Defensive Player of the year for the second straight season were named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division II First-Team All-Atlantic Region Volleyball Team when this year's teams were released on Wednesday.  In addition, sophomore outside hitter Cambria Wierman earned a spot on this year's Honorable Mention All-region Team… (Full AVCA All-Region Teams)
 
Mahoney won PSAC East Freshman of the Year last season, in addition to earning a spot on the all-conference first team each of her first two years at Pitt-Johnstown. Mahoney had the second-best hitting percentage in the PSAC (.348) during the regular season and was a two-time PSAC Athlete of the Week during the 2015 season.
 
Entering Thursday's NCAA Atlantic Regional Volleyball Tournament, Mahony was averaging 2.35 kills per set and a team-best .85 kills per set.  Her .343 hitting percentage, 20 solo blocks, and 88 total blocks all lead the Lady Cats, while her 298 kills rank third on the team.  Additionally, Mahony is second on the team with 41 service aces.  In the most recent NCAA Division II National Statistics, Mahony ranks 39^th in hitting percentage and 77^th in aces per set.
 
Orr, a First-Team All-PSAC East selection in 2015, joins Mahony on the AVCA Atlantic Region First Team.  She leads the team in total digs (703), digs per set (6.39) and services aces (50).  Nationally, she ranks third in digs per set, eighth in total digs, 43^rd in total aces, and 45^th in aces per set (.45).
 
Wierman was a First-Team All-PSAC East choice and earned a spot on the AVCA Atlantic Region Second-Team after leading Pitt-Johnstown in kills (371) and kills per set (3.09).  Wierman is also second on the team in digs (326) and digs per set (2.72) and third in service aces (31).
