Pitt-Johnstown sophomore middle hitter Kendall Mahony, the PSAC East Player of the Year, was named Daktronics NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Volleyball First Team as voted on by the region's Sports Information Directors when this year's teams were released on Wednesday.  Mahony will now advance to the national ballot for voting of this year's Division II All-America Teams... Mahoney, a native of Yorktown, VA and a graduate of Grafton High School, won PSAC East Freshman of the Year last season, in addition to earning a spot on the all-conference first team each of her first two years at Pitt-Johnstown. Mahoney had the second-best hitting percentage in the PSAC (.348) during the regular season and was a two-time PSAC Athlete of the Week during the 2015 season.
 
Entering Thursday's NCAA Atlantic Regional Volleyball Tournament, Mahony was averaging 2.35 kills per set and a team-best .85 kills per set.  Her .343 hitting percentage, 20 solo blocks, and 88 total blocks all lead the Lady Cats, while her 298 kills rank third on the team.  Additionally, Mahony is second on the team with 41 service aces.
 
In the most recent NCAA Division II National Statistics, Mahony ranks 39^th in hitting percentage and 77^th in aces per set.
 
Joining Mahony on the Atlantic Region First-Team are Atlantic Region Player of the year Kayce Krucki (OH, Wheeling Jesuit), Challen Litwiler (OH, Edinboro), Karley Allen (OH, Virginia-Wise), Lauran Graves (MH/B, Wheeling Jesuit), Jessica Thobe (L/DS, Wheeling Jesuit), and Andrea Thobe (S, Wheeling Jesuit).
