Leahey, Vescovi Named to Men's Basketball All-PSAC Teams

Leahey, a native of Lilly, Pa. and a graduate of Penn Cambria, led the Mountain Cats in scoring (13.9 ppg), field goal percentage (52.7%), 3-point field goal percentage (51.0%), and 3-point field goals-made (76). He also finished second on the team in rebounding (6.9 rpg) and blocked shots (20) and sixth in assists with 41.
 
His 76 3-pointers, 51% 3-point field goal percentage, and 2.81 3-point field goals per game all led the PSAC.
 
In the most recent NCAA Division II national statistics Leahey ranked third in field goal percentage, 43rd in total 3-point field goals, and 48th in 3-point field goals per game.
 
2293Vescovi, also a second team all PSAC West selection a year ago was Pitt-Johnstown's leading rebounder (7.4 rpg.) and third leading scorer (13.0 ppg.) in 2014-15.  He also led the Mountain Cats with 50 blocked shots, was third in assists (57), and field goal percentage (48.5%).
 
Nationally, Vescovi ranks 34th in blocked shots per game (1.85) and 35th in total blocks (50).
 
Vescovi finished his Pitt-Johnstown career ranked 21st on the Mountain Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,076 points and fifth on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time Rebounding List with 648 rebounds.
 
PSAC West Athlete of the Year IUP's Devante Chance and PSAC East Athlete of the Year East Stroudsburg's Matt Tobin headline the 2015 PSAC Men's Basketball All-Conference teams, as selected by the leagues' head coaches. Kutztown's Tyler Brooks earned the East's Defensive Athlete of the Year accolade, while A'Darius Porter of Gannon won the West's Defensive Athlete of the Year distinction.
 
Cheyney's Kevin Larkin was named the East Freshman of the Year, and Edinboro's Jaymon Mason was awarded the West Freshman of the Year. Mercyhurst head coach Gary Manchel is the West Coach of the Year, and Kutztown's head coach Bernie Driscoll is the East Coach of the Year.
