Head Coach Pat Pecora and the sixth-ranked Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cat wrestlers will open the PSAC portion of the schedule against 23^rd-ranked Kutztown University, Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
 
Prior to the match, Pitt-Johnstown will recognize last year's All-PSAC Team members and the PSAC Academic Award recipients.
 
The sixth-ranked Mountain Cats are 2-1 after splitting a pair of matches at the Drexel Duals on November 5 and defeating West Liberty (WV), 37-13, in last Thursday's home-opener.
 
The Mountain Cats are led by 2017 All-Americans Cody Law (157 lbs.) and Tyler Reinhart (174 lbs.), two-time National Qualifier D.J. Sims (285 lbs.), and National Qualifiers Chris Eddins (141 lbs.), Devin Austin (165 lbs.), and Levi Niebauer (197 lbs.).
 
Nationally for Pitt-Johnstown, Law (157 lbs.) and Reinhart (165 lbs.) are both ranked second, while Eddins (141 lbs.) is fifth, Austin and Sims (285 lbs.) are 11^th, and Niebauer (197 lbs.) is 12^th.
 
Kutztown, ranked 23^rd nationally under 17^th-year Head Coach Rob Fisher will begin their dual meet season.  The Golden Bears competed in the East Stroudsburg University Open on Sunday and got a second-place finish from returning All-American Ryan Appleby (285 lbs.).
 
Kutztown is led by Jeff Reimel, 2017 NCAA Division II National Qualifier at 184 lbs., and Appleby, a two-time National Qualifier and 2017 All-American at 285 lbs.
 
Nationally for Kutztown, Appleby is ranked fourth at 285 lbs. and Reimel is seventh at 184 lbs.
 
Last year, Pitt-Johnstown traveled to Kutztown and got falls from Reinhart and Allan Beattie, and a technical fall from Law in a 29-11 victory.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC match at East Stroudsburg on Tuesday and to a non-conference match at 11^th-ranked Ashland (OH) on December 2.  The Mountain Cats will wrestle their next home match on January 20 at 7 p.m. against Wheeling Jesuit (WV).
