Mike Drahos' and the Pitt-Johnstown women's basketball team will host a non-conference game against Lincoln University, Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Sports Center before breaking for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Pitt-Johnstown, 3-2 to begin the season, split a pair of home games to tip-off the PSAC schedule last weekend. On Saturday,
Olivia McCabe scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to record her fourth straight double-double, and
Gabrielle Smith scored 14 points to lead Pitt-Johnstown to a 63-52 win over Bloomsburg. On Sunday, Smith had 13 points and 13 rebounds, and McCabe added 13 points and six rebounds, but East Stroudsburg downed Pitt-Johnstown, 81-69.
With her six rebounds against the Warriors, McCabe moved into 17
th-place on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time Rebounding List.
Lincoln, under third-year Coach Darrell Mosley, is 1-2 after a 61-52 loss at Jefferson University on Saturday. Michelle Fitzgerald's 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Teira Pendleton's 10 points and six rebounds paced the Lions. Lincoln opened the season at the CIAA/PSAC Challenge in Ettrick, VA with a narrow loss to Seton Hill and a 78-72 victory over Slippery Rock on November 10 and 11.
Last season, Pitt-Johnstown traveled to Lincoln on November 28 and came away with a 79-68 victory over the Lions.
Tori Moreland poured in a game-high 22 points to lead four Pitt-Johnstown players who scored in double figures.
Laurel O'Barto had 16 points and 10 assists, Jamie Tabon had 15 points and a game-high 15 rebounds, and McCabe scored 14 points for Pitt-Johnstown. Lincoln was led by Kholby Oliver's 15 points, Ashley Payne-Hightower's double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Shecquan Bailey's 13 points.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC games at Cheyney University on December 2 and Millersville University on December 3, before returning home to host a non-conference game against Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University on December 12 at 6 p.m. in the Sports Center.
