The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's basketball teams will play host to Clarion University for a PSAC Western Division doubleheader, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center. The women will tip-off at 1 p.m., before the men take on the Golden Eagles at 3 p.m.

Pitt-Johnstown, 8-13 overall and 5-11 in the PSAC Western Division under
Coach Mike Drahos (5th year), is coming off of 76-53 loss to 15
th-ranked Edinboro, Wednesday evening in the Sports Center.
Gabrielle Smith's 13 points and seven rebounds paced Pitt-Johnstown. The Cats also got 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds from
Olivia McCabe, 10 points and seven rebounds from
Nicole Olkosky, and eight points from
Tori Moreland.
Entering today's game,
McCabe stands in 29
th place on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time Scoring List with 1,101 points and eighth on the All-Time Rebounding List with 761 rebounds.
Fourth-year
Head Coach Jana Ashley's Clarion Golden Eagles are 7-15 overall and 2-14 in the PSAC. Clarion suffered a 75-65 loss to Seton Hill last Saturday and a 61-51 home loss to Mercyhurst on Wednesday.
Tynita White and
Jordan Bekelka each scored 10 points, and
Yasmin Lewis chipped-in seven points and nine rebounds in the loss to the Lakers.
On December 30, the Golden Eagles dealt Pitt-Johnstown a 60-44 loss in Clarion behind
Yndiah Bobo's 15-points. Clarion also got 14 points and five rebounds from
Bekelja and 12 points from
Amesha Harden-Pullium.
McCabe's game-highs of 16 points and 13 rebounds and
Smith's 11 points and six rebounds led the way for Pitt-Johnstown.
Head Coach Bob Rukavina's Mountain Cats, 10-10 overall and 8-8 in the PSAC, look to bounce back from a pair of tough conference losses. After suffering a narrow loss at Gannon last Saturday, Edinboro held on for an overtime victory over Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday.
Dale Clancy's driving layup with less than a second to play forced overtime, but Edinboro went on to earn an 87-72 PSAC victory over the Mountain Cats.
Clancy finished with 24 points, six rebounds, and five assists to lead three Pitt-Johnstown players who scored in double figures.
Josh Wise had 17 points and six rebounds, and
Levi Masua collected 13 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
Clancy is currently 12
th on the Mountain Cat All-Time Scoring List (1,347 points), fourth on the assists list (492), and fifth on the 3-point field goals list (213).
Isaac Vescovi is 15
th-place on the Pitt-Johnstown Scoring List with 1,253 points.
Clarion comes in with a 3-19 overall record and 0-16 mark in the PSAC under fourth-year
Head Coach Marcess Williams. Seton Hill defeated the Golden Eagles, 77-68, last Saturday, and Mercyhurst was able to hold off Clarion, 72-65, on Wednesday.
Cameron Grumley scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while
Khari Williams and
Mason Mraz collected 16 and 10 points, respectively against the Lakers.
The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series 34-19, but Pitt-Johnstown has won seven of the last eight games and four straight, including a 74-59 win in Clarion on December 30.
Clancy had a game-high 19 points, while
Vescovi and
Josh Wise added 18 and 17 points, respectively for the Mountain Cats.
Grumley (18 points),
Zavyer Craft (13 points), and
Mraz (11 points) all scored in double figures for Clarion.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC game at Indiana (PA) on Wednesday, before hosting conference doubleheaders with the women's team against California (PA) next Saturday and Seton Hill on February 14. The Mountain Cats will celebrate Senior Day next Saturday against the Vulcans, while the women will hold their Senior Night against Seton Hill on Valentine's Day.
