
Pitt-Johnstown senior forward
Isaac Vescovi was named to the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) First-Team Academic All-District II Men's Basketball Team for the second straight year when this year's teams were released on Thursday. Vescovi, who has a 3.99 GPA in Secondary Education-Mathematics, will advance to the national ballot for voting to become an Academic All-American.

Vescovi, a native of Patton, Pa. and a graduate of Cambria Heights High School, leads Pitt-Johnstown in scoring (21.0 ppg.), field goals percentage (.57.0%), and free-throw percentage (88.6%). He is tied for the team lead in steals with 28. Vescovi also ranks third on the team in blocks (7) and fourth in rebounding (5.1 rpg.).

th in field goal percentage.

The 2017-18 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in March.

The Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools, and other affiliations.

The Division II and III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2017-18 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams.
