Head Coach Pat Pecora (42^nd season) and the 11^th-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestling team will celebrate Senior Night prior to taking on undefeated Mercyhurst University for the 2017-18 PSAC Dual Meet Championship, Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
 
For the fifth straight year since Pitt-Johnstown joined the conference in 2013-14, the PSAC Division II Dual Meet Championship will be on the line.  The Lakers won titles in 2014 and 2015, before the Mountain Cats answered with conference championships in 2016 and 2017.
 
Prior to the match, the Mountain Cat wrestling program will recognize seniors…Sam Holandez (133 lbs.), Cole Landowski (149 lbs.), Cody Law (157 lbs.), Tyler Reinhart (174 lbs.), and D.J. Sims (285 lbs.).
 
Head Coach Pat Pecora's (42^nd season) Mountain Cats, looking for their third straight PSAC title, are ranked 11^th in NCAA Division II and third in Super Region I at 11-3 overall and 6-0 in the PSAC.  Pitt-Johnstown is coming off of a 39-9 conference win at Shippensburg on Tuesday.  The Mountain Cats took advantage of five falls, including three straight from Law (157 lbs.), Devin Austin (165 lbs.), and Steve Edwards (174 lbs.).
 
The Mountain Cats are led by 2017 All-American Law (157 lbs.), two-time National Qualifier D.J. Sims (285 lbs.), and National Qualifiers Chris Eddins (141 lbs.), Austin (165 lbs.), and Levi Niebauer (197 lbs.).
 
Nationally for Pitt-Johnstown, Law (157 lbs.) is ranked second, while Eddins (141 lbs.) is fourth, and Niebauer (197 lbs.) is seventh.
 
Mercyhurst is ranked fifth in Super Region I at 11-0 overall and 5-0 in the PSAC under 11^th-year Head Coach Mike Wehler.  The Lakers are coming off of a 30-16 PSAC victory over Seton Hill on January 31 and a 37-3 conference win over Shippensburg on Saturday.
 
The Lakers are led by 2017 National Qualifier and 12^th-ranked Logan Grass at 149 lbs. and National Qualifier and 10^th-ranked Wes Phipps at 197 lbs.
 
Last year, Pitt-Johnstown traveled to Erie on February 11 and got a pin from Law (157 lbs.) and a major decision from Niebauer (184 lbs.) to build a 19-11 lead, then held off the Lakers, 19-18, to claim its second straight PSAC Dual Meet Championship.

Pitt-Johnstown will host the 2018 Super Region I Tournament on February 23 -24 in the Sports Center, before traveling to Cedar Rapids, IA for the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championships on March 9-10.
