


The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's basketball teams will celebrate Senior Day with a PSAC doubleheader against California University (PA), Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center. The women will tip-off at 1 p.m., before the men take on the Golden Eagles at 3 p.m.

Pitt-Johnstown, 9-14 overall and 6-12 in the PSAC Western Division under
Head Coach Mike Drahos' (5th year), gave 12
th-ranked Indiana (PA) all it could handle on Thursday, before suffering a 57-47 loss at the Kovalchick Center in Indiana.
Gabrielle Smith scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and
Alexis Harris added 14 points, including four 3-pointers, to give Pitt-Johnstown a four-point fourth-quarter lead, but the Crimson Hawks answered with a 14-0 run to seal the victory.
McCabe who had five points and seven rebounds at IUP, currently stands in 28
th place on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time Scoring List with 1,125 points and seventh on the All-Time Rebounding List with 784 rebounds.

Seventh-year
Head Coach Jess Strom's California (PA) Vulcans are ranked 20
th in the country at 19-4 overall and 14-3 in the PSAC. The Vulcans coming off of a 79-66 loss at No. 15 Edinboro last Saturday and a 62-50 victory at Gannon on Wednesday.
Shatara Parsons had 21 points and seven rebounds, and
D.J. Hahn added 17 points and six rebounds to pace the Vulcans at Gannon.

Maddie Shanahan's 11 points and six rebounds,
Smith's nine points and eight rebounds, and
McCabe's five points and game-high 11 rebounds led the way for Pitt-Johnstown.
Mia poured in a game-high 23 points and pulled down seven rebounds, and
Parsons added 16 points for the Vulcans.
Head Coach Bob Rukavina's Mountain Cats, made it two straight wins and improved to 12-10 overall and 10-8 in the PSAC Western Division when
Drew Magestro hit a 3-pointer with six seconds remaining to lift the Mountain Cats to a 65-63 win at Indiana (PA) on Thursday.
Dale Clancy's 18 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, and
Isaac Vescovi's 17 points led the way for the Mountain Cats, who dealt the Crimson Hawks their first PSAC West home loss since 2014.
Magestro added 11 points, and
Levi Masua had nine points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
Clancy currently stands in 11
th-place on the Mountain Cat All-Time Scoring List (1,385 points), third on the assists list (500), and fifth on the 3-point field goals list (221).
Vescovi is 15

Head Coach Kent McBride, slipped to 9-14 overall and 5-12 in the PSAC following a 79-63 loss at Edinboro last Saturday and a 74-63 setback at Gannon on Wednesday.
Jahmere Howze had 18 points and five rebounds, and
Cordell Smith collected 18 points to lead four Vulcans who scored in double figures against the Golden Knights.
Nationally for the Vulcans,
Smith ranks 74
th in assist-to-turnover-ratio (2.24), and
Howze is 93
rd in field goal percentage (52.7%).
Pitt-Johnstown has won five of the last six meetings, but the Vulcans lead the all-time series 22-18, including an 81-80 victory in California, Pa. on January 10.
Clancy scored a career-high 32 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and
Vescovi had 21 points and nine rebounds to lead the Mountain Cats.
Smith's 19 points and six rebounds, and
Isaiah Lewis's 16 points paced four Vulcans who scored in double figures.
Pitt-Johnstown will host a PSAC doubleheader against Seton Hill on Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to Slippery Rock on Saturday and to Mercyhurst on February 21 to close out the regular season.
