For the second consecutive week, Pitt-Johnstown junior outfielder
Morgan Cannin was named the PSAC Central Division Softball Player of the Week by the conference office. Cannin went 14-28 with eight runs, and four RBI in eight Pitt-Johnstown games last week in Clermont, Fla.
After going 1-for-3 in games against Notre Dame (OH) and Cedarville (OH) to begin the week, Cannin had three hits, an RBI, and two runs against the University of the Sciences, before adding two hits, two RBI, and a pair of runs against St. Cloud State (Minn.) on Thursday.
On Friday, Cannin collected four hits in five at-bats, including a double and a run scored against Ursuline (OH), then closed out the week going 2-for-4 with another RBI and two more runs scored against Hillsdale (MI) on Saturday.
Cannin had at least one base hit in seven of the eight games she played last week.
