NEW HEAD COACH VITO ADDALLI MAKES HIS DEBUT
-- Vito Addalli was named Pitt-Johnstown's fourth head women's soccer coach after three seasons as an assistant at Mansfield University and one season at Bethany (WV) College.  He replaces Rachel Gironda, who led the Pitt-Johnstown program from 2013 through 2017.  Addalli, who also served as an assistant coach at both Hood College and Clarion University, specializes in goalkeeper training.  He has extensive experience coaching at the club level, including as the head coach of the STN North-Penn Soccer Club, the Beadling FC, and Hotspurs Football Club.

 
WOMEN'S SOCCER PICKED No. 16 IN THE PSAC
--The West Chester Golden Rams topped the PSAC Women's Soccer Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.  Pitt-Johnstown was picked 16th, one spot above Mansfield University in the 17-team conference

 

LEIGH APPOLONIA BACK IN NET FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT SEASON
--Senior goalkeeper Leigh Appolonia will be back in net for one final season at Pitt-Johnstown.  Appolonia, a starter since her freshman year, returns after ranking 20^th in NCAA Division II in Total Saves (117) and 24^th in Saves Per Game (6.88) in 2016 and 43rd in Saves Per Game (6.2) and 53rd in Total Saves (93) in 2017.
