Mountain Cat Baseball Swept By St. Thomas

The Mountain Cat baseball team suffered 11-2 and 5-1 losses to St. Thomas (FL) University, Tuesday afternoon in Fort Pierce, FL. With the loss, Head Coach Todd Williams' team fell to 1-4 to start the season.
In game one, junior second baseman Dan Delsignore (Johnstown, Pa.) collected two hits, while senior first baseman Bill Colosimo (Summerhill, Pa.) and sophomore outfielder Matt Hanley (Delmont, Pa.) each drove in a run for Pitt Johnstown. Junior Second Team All-North Atlantic Region pitcher David Huey (Glen Campbell, Pa.) gave up nine runs, just three earned runs, on eight hits in four innings of work.
In the nightcap, freshman right hander Andrew deBethune (St Albans, ME) scattered nine hits and gave up three runs in six innings, but suffered the loss in his collegiate debut. Freshman infielder Dan Mangini (Lower Burrell, Pa.) had three hits and scored Pitt Johnstown's lone run, and sophomore first baseman Tyler Good (Philipsburg, Pa.) had two hits in three at-bats.
The Mountain Cats continue thier Spring Trip in Fort Pierce, FL on Wednesday with nine-inning games against C.W. Post (NY) University and Concordia (NY) College.
