Eric Kinsey made his collegiate coaching debut in 2000 when he took over the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer program. Kinsey, a 1991 graduate of Bishop McCort High School in Johnstown, continues to try to make the Mountain Cats a competitive force in the very demanding Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
2025 will mark his 26th season at Pitt-Johnstown where he led the Mountain Cats to FIVE straight WVIAC Tournament appearances, including back-to-back trips to the semifinals in 2007 and 2008. Since 2006, 30 of his players have earned All-Conference honors, and two were awarded All-Region accolades.
Kinsey, who holds a National "C" coaching license from United States Soccer Federation, gained coaching experience as an assistant boys coach at Bishop McCort High School for two seasons where he helped lead the team to consecutive PIAA District 6 Playoff appearances.
In addition, Kinsey gained even more valuable coaching experience with the Laurel Highlands Futbol Club in Johnstown and the Keystone Soccer Club in Hollidaysburg, Pa. Coach Kinsey also served as an Assistant Coach under Head Coach Heather (Kendra) Davis in the PA West Olympic Development Program from 2004-2006.
After graduating from high school, where he played soccer for three seasons, Kinsey became a four-year starter and four-year letter winner as a goalkeeper at La Roche College in Pittsburgh.
While at La Roche College, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting
