West Chester University used a pair of second half goals in a 2-0 PSAC victory over the Mountain Cats on a soggy Wednesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. With the loss, the Mountain Cats fell to 2-11-0 overall and 0-7-0 in the PSAC.
Alex Caplan put the Golden Rams up 1-0 with his goal in the 48th minute of the match on a through ball from Roberto Silva, before Kevin McCann scored on a shot from the top of the box in the 54th minute to set the final at 2-0.
Tim Ofman took the loss for the Mountain Cats, collecting five saves, while surrendering two goals. Ryan Shultz earned the shutout in net for West Chester after making three saves.
With the win, West Chester improved to 7-3-2 overal and 6-1-1 in conference-play.
The Mountain Cats will travel to East Stroudsburg University on Saturday for a PSAC match, before traveling to Shippensburg University on October 25 for another conference match.
