Mountain Cats Close Out Season With Loss at Davis & Elkins

(Box Score) Davis & Elkins (WV) College scored three goals in the first 16 minutes of the match and went on to hand the Mountain Cat men's soccer team a 5-0, season-ending conference loss, Wednesday evening in Elkins, W.Va. Pitt-Johnstown finished a difficult season at 1-14-1 overall and 1-7-1 in the WVIAC.

James Pucci gave the Senators a 1-0 lead four minutes into the match, before Davis & Elkins found the net behind Pitt-Johnstown starting goalkeeper Eddie Stover (New Kensington, Pa.) two more times in the next 12 minutes to build an early 3-0 advantage.

The Senators then tacked on two more second half goals to set the final at 5-0.

Stover played the first half in goal for the Mountain Cats and allowed three goals. Tim Ofman (New Florence, Pa.) was in net the final 45 minutes and surrendered a pair of goals. Moisses Oseguera earned the shutout for Davis & Elkins.

With the win, the Senators raised their record to 12-3-1 overall and 7-1-1 in the WVIAC.
