Lady Cat Volleyball Swept By West Liberty
     09/18/12... (Box Score) Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) tied for game-high with 11 kills and three block solos, but West Liberty (WV) University came into the Sports Center Tuesday evening and swept the Lady Cats 25-22, 27-25 and 25-20.  Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 5-3 overall and 0-2 in the WVIAC.
     Kelsey Shanabrook (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) had eight kills, a block solo and a block assist, while Karen Schmidt (Boswell, Pa.) and Ashley DiRado (Greensburg, Pa.) each had five kills.  DiRado also had three block solos, and Schmidt had 14 digs.  Danielle Fleeger (Clarion, Pa.) ended the night with three kills, two block solos, and a block assist.
     Nikki Oakes (Pittsburgh, Pa.) led the Lady Cats with 23 set assists.  Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) chipped in 13 assists.
     Pitt-Johsntown got a game-high 23 digs from Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.).
     With the sweep, West Liberty improved to 6-6 overall and 1-0 in conference-play.  
     The Lady Cats travel to Pitt-Greensburg for a non-conference match on Thursday, before hosting a WVIAC match against Fairmont State (WV) University on Wednesday, October 26 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
