Sophomore center Kyle Goldcamp (Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds, but it wasn't enough, as Wheeling Jesuit University erased a 10-point deficit with 5:49 to play to earn a 93-88 overtime win over Pitt-Johnstown in the opening night of the 2006 Pitt-Johnstown-Cummings Trophies & Engraving Tip-Off Classic, Friday night in the Sports Center.
Goldcamp wrapped up his night 6-9 from the field and 7-8 from the free-throw line to lead five Mountain Cats who scored in double figures. In addition to his 15 points, Gilliam grabbed nine rebounds and Davis chipped in five steals.
The Mountain Cats built a 73-63 lead with just under six minutes to play, but the Cardinals continued to battle. Hines' free-throw with :07 to play forced overtime, but Wheeling Jesuit went on to outscore Pitt-Johnstown, 15-10 in the extra period.
