Men's Soccer Dealt 2-1 Overtime Loss at Wheeling Jesuit

Billy Wilson's goal in the first minute of play in overtime propelled Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University to a 2-1 conference victory of the Mountain Cat men's soccer team, Wednesday night in Wheeling, WV. Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 6-10-1 overall and 4-5-1 in the WVIAC.
Victor Picchio put Wheeling Jesuit up 1-0 in the 15th minute when he took Adam Pharo's shot that bounced off the post and blasted it by Mountain Cat goalkeeper Craig Neff (Elizabethtown, Pa.).
The Mountain Cats answered to tie the score 16 minutes into the second half on an own goal when a ball played back to Wheeling Jesuit goalkeeper Paul Young trickled into the net.
The score remained tied through regulation. However, :53 into the first overtime period, Wilson took Paul Silverstone pass and found the back of the net with the game-winner.
Neff faced 13 shots and made four saves for Pitt-Johnstown. Wilson saw seven Mountain Cat shots and made three saves to earn the victory for the Caridnals.
With the victory, Wheeling Jesuit improved to 10-4-2 overall and 6-2-1 in the WVIAC.
The Mountain Cats close out the 2009 regular season with a non-conference match at Chestnut Hill College on Monday. Sunday's secheduled match at Lincoln University has been cancelled.
