Mountain Cats Dealt 4-0 Loss at Slippery Rock

Slippery Rock University scored three goals in a span of eight minutes to close out the first half and start the second half en route to handing the Mountain Cat soccer team a 4-0 non-conference road loss, Saturday night. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 5-6-0 on the year.
With just 1:31 remaining to play in the opening half, Cody Clark found the top corner of the net off of a free-kick to put Slippery up 1-0 at the break.

The Rock came out in the second half and quickly made it 2-0 when Zach Hall scored off of Brandon Chiu's assist in the 47th minute.
Four minutes later, Hull set-up Kenneth Fultz, who beat Mountain Cat goalkeeper Mike Cuccaro (Pittsburgh, Pa.), to build the lead to 3-0.
The Rock added another goal in the 85th minute to set the final at 4-0.
Cuccaro played the first 69 minutes and allowed three goals. Cuccaro faced 23 shots and made 10 saves. Nolan Levine (McDonald, Pa.) was in goal the final 21 minutes and made three saves and allowed one goal. Clayton Master earned the shutout in goal for The Rock after making a pair of saves.
With the victory, Slippery Rock improved to 5-7-1.
The Mountain Cats travel to Seton Hill University for a WVIAC match on Tuesday and to the University of District of Columbia for a non-conference match on Saturday, before returning home to host Shepherd (WV) University for a Senior Day WVIAC match on October 26 at 1 p.m.
