Mountain Cat Soccer Suffers 3-2 Overtime Loss at Columbia Union

The Mountain Cat soccer team battled Columbia Union (MD) College to a 2-2 tie after 90 minutes of play, but the Pioneers tallied the game-winning goal early in the second overtime to deal Pitt-Johnstown a 3-2 loss, Sunday afternoon. Jason Swope (Indiana, Pa.) scored both goals for the Mountain Cats, who fell to 2-4-0 overall.
Swope's first goal came off of Shane Hejmanowski's (Dillsburg, Pa.) assist and knotted the match 1-1 at halftime. Then, trailing 2-1, Hejmanowski sent a cross the Swope, who found the back of the net to force overtime. Unfortunately, the Pioneers secured the victory with a goal in the second overtime.

Mountain Cat goalkeeper Craig Neff (Elizabethtown, Pa.) suffered the loss and slipped to 2-4-0 on the season.
With the victory, the Pioneers improved to 5-1-0.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College for a WVIAC match on Saturday, before returning home to host WVIAC foe University of Charleston (WV) on Tuesday, September 23 at 4:00 p.m.
