Wheeling Jesuit Deals Mountain Cat Soccer 5-0 Home Loss

Wheeling Jesuit University scored three first half goals on its way to a 5-0 victory Wednesday afternoon over Head Coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cat soccer team. With the loss, Pitt Johnstown has dropped its last four matches and fell to 6-8-1 on the season.
Wheeling Jesuit opened up a 3-0 halftime lead on goals by Kerdyn Moe (12th minute) Peter D'Amore (19th minute) and Tony Trabert (33rd minute), before adding a pair of second half goals to set the final score at 5-0.
The Mountain Cats, who were outshot 14-3 for the match, did not get a shot on Cardinals' goalkeeper Robert Ioven. Wheeling Jesuit had 10 shots on Mountain Cat freshman goal keeper Craig Neff (Elizabethtown, Pa.).
Neff made five saves, but gave up all five goals and slipped to 5-8-1 on the year.
With the victory, Wheeling Jesuit improved to 7-6-3.
The Mountain Cats travel to Point Park University on Thursday and to Ohio Valley (WV) University on Saturday, before returning home to celebrate Senior Day and play thier final match of the season against the University of District of Columbia on Thursday, October 26 at 4:00 p.m.
