Mountain Cats Dealt 2-1 Loss at Shippensburg

Nolan Levine (McDonald, Pa.) made 17 saves, but Shippensburg University got a pair of goals from Michael Celius to deal the Mountain Cat soccer team a 2-1 non-conference road loss, Saturday afternoon. Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 7-7-0.
Shippensburg took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break on Celius' unassisted goal 17 minutes into the match.
Celius notched his second goal of the match when he found the back of the net behind Levine at the 54-minute mark to increase the Red Raiders' lead to 2-0.
Pitt-Johnstown got on the scoreboard and set the final at 2-1 in the final minute of play when Clay Herron (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) scored off of Bryce DeLizio's (Chandler, AZ) blocked shot.
Levine faced 30 Shippensburg shots and made 17 saves, but surrendered both goals and took the loss. Clay Sale saw 16 Mountain Cat shots and made three saves to earn the win.
With the victory, the Red Raiders improved to 12-5-0.
The Mountain Cats travel to Shepherd (WV) University for a WVIAC match on Wednesday, before finishing the regular season with a make-up game at Washington Adventist (MD) University on Thursday.
