Men's Soccer Earns 1-0 Win at Ohio Valley

Phil Belcastro's (Pittsburgh, Pa.) first half goal proved to be the game winner, and Craig Neff (Elizabethtown, Pa.) earned his seventh shutout of the year, as the Mountain Cat soccer team made it two straight wins and climbed into fourth place in the WVIAC with a 1-0 victory at Ohio Valley (WV) University, Saturday afternoon. Pitt-Johnstown is now 8-7-1 overall and 5-3-1 in conferernce play.
Belcastro found the back of the net off of Jason Swope's (Indiana, Pa.) cross in the 20th minute to notch the match's lone goal.
Neff faced 10 shots and made three saves to secure the shutout and improve to 8-7-1. Ohio Valley goalkeeper Spencer Widlicka saw five Mountain Cat shots and made four saves, but suffered the loss.
Ohio Valley dropped to 8-5-2 overall and 5-2-0 in the WVIAC.
Pitt-Johnstown returns home to host Senior Day against Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University on Tuesday, before traveling to Goldey-Beacom (DE) College for a non-conference match on Saturday.
