Branch Gets Second WVIAC Player of Week Honor

Mountain Cat senior guard Danny Branch (Washington, D.C.) earned the final WVIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor after averaging 26 points per game in two Pitt-Johntown games.
Branch, who was also tabbed co-player of the week on Nov. 29, poured in a career-high 34 points on 12-19 shooting, including 9-12 from behind the three-point line in a 98-94 home loss to West Virginia Wesleyan College on Wednesday.
On Saturday, Branch added 18 points and hit a three-pointer with six seconds to play to give the Mountain Cats an 88-87 come-from-behind victory at Seton Hill University
Branch, Patrick Grubbs (Turtle Creek, Pa.) and Nick Novak (Murrsyville, Pa,) all earned two WVIAC Player of the Week honors this season.
