Tullis Tabbed Honorable Mention Division II Bulletin All-American

Pitt-Johnstown senior forward Marcus Tullis (Johnstown, Pa.) has been name Honorable Mention All-American by Division II Bulletin after leading the Mountain Cat basketball team to the WVIAC Tournament championship and a second straight trip to the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament.
Division II Bulletin, a monthly newsletter dedicated to NCAA Division II men's basketball, named the University of Findlay's (OH) senior forward Josh Bostic the 2008-09 national player of the year. Joining Bostic on this year's first team are Chris Commons (SR, F, South Carolina-Aiken), Matt Rogers (JR, C, Southwest Baptist), Larry Gordon (JR, F, Cal Poly-Pomona and Kevin Rarzsch (SR, F, Northern State).
Tullis, a First-Team WVIAC selection and the WVIAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, led the Mountain Cats to a 24-8 overall record and a 15-5 mark in the WVIAC. Tullis paced Pitt-Johnstown in scoring (18.4 ppg), blocked shots (34) and field goal percentage at 57.6% (247-429). The 57.6% field goal percentage also ranked 30th in the country. His 6.2 rebounds per game were tied with Quinton Davis (Pittsburgh, Pa.) for second on the team, while his 78.0% (92-118) free-throw percentage also ranked second on the Mountain Cat squad.
