Men’s Basketball Ranked #21 in Division II Bulletin Preseason Poll

Head Coach Bob Rukavina's Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cat basketball team was ranked #21 in the 2008-09 Division II Bulletin Men's Basketball Preseason Poll when it was released on Friday. Great Lakes Regional finalist University of Findlay (OH) is the top team in the Division II Bulletin Preseason Top-25.
Pitt-Johnstown returns four starters off of a team that posted a 23-8 overall record in 2007-08. The Mountain Cats won the WVIAC regulars season title with a 17-3 conference record and advanced to the NCAA Division II East Region Semifinals after defeating #2-seeded Mount Olive (NC) College in the tournament's opening round.
Findlay (28-5) welcomes back all five starters from last season's Sweet 16 squad. The Oilers return 75.8 of their 78.7 points per game and feature the GLIAC's top player in senior forward Josh Bostic (13.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg), who was also named the publication's Preseason Player of the Year.
