Novak led the Mountain Cats in both scoring (19.5 ppg.) and assists (4.1 apg.) on his way to being named First-Team All-WVIAC in 2011-12. Novak, who became the 23rd Mountain Cat to reach the 1,000-point plateau at Glenville State (WV) College on December 3, also led the team in free-throw percentage at 85.8% and was second in field goal percentage at 58.5%.
He ranked 17
th in NCAA Division II in field goal percentage, 30th in scoring and 42nd
in free-throw percentage following his junior season.
Novak enters the 2012-13 season ranked eighth on the Mountain Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,409 points and seventh on the all-time assists list with 384.
Novak paced the Mountain Cats in scoring 13 times, including a season-high 30 points at Seton Hill on January 21. He also led the team in assists 17 times.
Last summer, Novak represented the United States as a member of the
Global Sports Select/All-Star Basketball Team that competed in Belgium and Holland.
