Gilliam Scores Seven Points to Help Lead East Squad to 103-97 Win at NABC All-Star Game

Chris Gilliam (Baltimore, MD) scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds to help lead the East Team to a 103-97 victory at Friday's Third Annual National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)/NCAA Division II All-Star Game at the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA... (Box Score)
Gilliam was one of 20 student-athletes selected to play in the all-star game that was held in conjuction with the Division II Elite-Eight Tournament. The All-Star Game matched an East All-Star Team (with 10 student-athletes from the NCAA East, Northeast, South and South Atlantic regions) against a West All-Star Team (with 10 student-athletes from the NCAA Great Lakes, North Central, South Central and West regions).
Gilliam ended the night shooting 3-4 from the field and 1-2 from the free-throw line in 20 minutes of action. Gilliam also pulled down five of his six rebounds on the defensive end.
Millersville's Charlie Parker, named Most Valuable Player on the East squad, scored 18 points to pace seven players from the East who scored in double figures. Jeff Fahnbulleh (Kentucky Wesleyan) netted a game-high 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds to garner MVP honors for the West All-Stars.
