Volleyball Falls to A-B in WVIAC Quarterfinals

Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) and Karen Schmidt (Boswell, Pa.) each had five kills, but No. 3-seeded Alderson-Boraddus (WV) College ended the No. 6-seeded Lady Cat volleyball season with a 25-21, 25-13, 25-19 sweep in Thursday's Quarterfinals of the 2010 WVIAC Tournament at the Catholic Sports Complex in Charleston, WV. Pitt-Johnstown finished the year with a 13-12 overall record.
Hrescak had five kills and 11 digs, and Schmidt ended with five kills. Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) added four kills and a block assist in the loss.
Taylor King (York, Pa.) chipped in seven set assists and 12 digs, and Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) had five assists. Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) led Pitt-Johnstown with 15 digs.
Alderson-Broaddus improved to 22-13 and advances to the WVIAC Semifinals on Friday.
