#13 Wrestlers Bounce Back With Two Wins at Regional Duals

Pitt-Johnstown opened Saturday's action with a 37-3 victory over American International. Dave Fogle (Summerhill, Pa.) won a 3-0 decision over Este Lara at 125 lbs., and No. 3-ranked Ryan Link (Cresson, Pa.) pinned Joshua Rollins at 1:52 tom put Pitt-Johnstown in front 9-0. Aaron Smith upset second-ranked Jack Bachman (Greensburg, Pa.), 6-4, at 141 lbs. to cut the American International deficit it 9-3, but Pitt-Johnstown closed out the match with seven straight wins. The Mountain Cats answered with a 6-5 win by Nathan Link (Cresson, Pa.) at 149 lbs, and a dominating 17-6 major decision by Zach Lundgren (DuBois, Pa.) at 157 lbs. to build the Mountain Cat lead to 16-3. Myers Miller (Bolivar, Pa.) won a 5-1 decision over Ronald Tetreault at 165 lbs. and Logan Shirey (Fairmont City, Pa.) defeated Vladimir Bereshchenko, 7-2, to make it four straight Mountain Cats wins, and Gary Lantz (Delta, Pa.) earned 15-0 technical fall at 5:00 over Yaakov Bloch in the 184 lbs. match to push the lead to 27-3. Jon Moore (Leechburg, Pa.) won a 10-2 major decision at 197 lbs., and Greg Grimes (Ebensburg, Pa.) pinned Casey Hines at 2:16 to set the final at 37-3.
