DeLizio Named WVIAC Soccer Co-Player of the Week

Mountain Cat sophomore midfielder Bryce DeLizio (Chandler, AZ) has been named the WVIAC Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week with the University of Charleston's (WV) Harry Machacha after scoring a game-winning goal and a game-tying goal last week... (Full WVIAC Story)
DeLizio scored the game-winner with two minutes remaining in double overtime to defeat Shepherd (WV) University last Wednesday and give Pitt-Johnstown a spot in this week's WVIAC Tournament. On Friday, DeLizio notched his team-leading seventh goal of the season that forced overtime in a non-conference match at Chestnut Hill College.
Machacha, a senior forward/midfielder, struck for a hat trick in a WVIAC victory over Ohio Valley (WV) University. The win helped the Golden Eagles clinch their third straight WVIAC title. Machacha tallied all three scores in the first half, helping Charleston to a 4-0 lead at the intermission.
DeLizio is the second Mountain Cat to garner WVIAC Player of the Week honors. Junior forward Derik Swope (Harleysville, Pa.) took home this year's first weekly honor on September 6.
