Mountain Cat Soccer 10th in Atlantic Region Poll

Head Coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cat soccer team is ranked 10th in the the first National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Atlantic Region Poll released on Tuesday. The University of Charleston (WV) is the top-ranked team in te region and the No. 6-ranked team in NCAA Division II... (NSCAA National Rankings) (WVIAC Release and Regional Rankings)
Pitt-Johnstown opened the season with a 1-0 victory over the University of the District of Columbia and a 2-1 loss to Chestnut Hill College.
Charleston climbed one spot to No. 6 in the latest NSCAA Division II Top 25. The Golden Eagles opened their season last week with a 4-1 win at Shippensburg and a 1-1 neutral site tie versus No. 11 Slippery Rock. Charleston is back in action on Wednesday when Urbana visits for the Golden Eagles' home opener.
Charleston is one of four WVIAC squads to be listed in the NSCAA's Atlantic Region rankings. The Golden Eagles are the top ranked squad in the regional poll, while Wheeling Jesuit (2-0-0) is fifth. West Virginia Wesleyan (2-0-1) is ninth and Pitt-Johnstown (1-1-0) is tenth.
