Fratz Named WVIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Pitt-Johnstown freshman guard Kaitlynn Fratz (Accident, MD) has been named the WVIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the league office on Tuesday after pouring in a game-high 28 points to lead the Lady Cats to their first win of the season last Saturday... (Full WVIAC Release)
Fratz guided the Lady Cats to a 67-64 victory over visiting Shepherd, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center in Pitt-Johnstown's lone game of the week. To go along with her 28 points, Fratz also pulled down five rebounds, dished out four assists, and made three steals.
Ahead by just three in the closing minutes of the contest, Fratz had a hand in the last six points scored by the Lady Cats. She dished out an assist on Kayla Loughner's (Brinklow, MD) 3-pointer, before connecting on three free-throws in the final 53 seconds. Her two free throws with 14 seconds remaining pushed the margin to three.
