Pitt Johnstown Defeats East Region Rival Kutztown University, 25-12

The #5-ranked Mountain Cat wrestling team raised it's record to 3-1 to start the season with a 25-12 victory at East Region rival Kutztown University Wednesday night. With a slim 13-12 lead through six matches, Pitt Johnstown closed out the match with four straight decision victories to by red-shirt freahman Albert Miles (174 lbs.) (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon McMillan H.S.), red-shirt freahman Mike Corcetti (184 lbs.) (Export, Pa./Kiski Area H.S.), sophomore Mike Fowler (197 lbs.) (Carrolltown, Pa./Cambria Heights H.S.) and senior three-time All-American Howard Bell (HWT.) (Irwin, Pa./Penn Trafford H.S.). The Mountain Cats also scored a pin from senior All-American Ryan Ickes (149 lbs.) (Claysburg, Pa./Claysburg-Kimmel H.S.), a major decision from National Qualifier Matt Roncolato (157 lbs.) (Allentown, Pa./Salisbury H.S.) and a decision from red-shirt Brandon Reasy (133 lbs.) (New Enterprise, Pa./Northern Bedford H.S.). With the loss, Kutztown dropped to 0-1 to begin the dual meet season.
