Lock Haven University broke open a 1-0 halftime lead with five second half goals to secure a 6-0 victory over the Mountain Cats in Pitt-Johnstown's first ever PSAC match on Friday at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. With the loss the Mountain Cats fell to 0-2-0 overall and 0-1-0 in conference-play.
Jacob Oldaker and Troy Amspacher combined for a pair of goals each in the victory for Lock Haven.
Tim Ofman made eight saves, but surrendered all six goals in net for the Mountain Cats. Brad Sumski earned the shutout in goal for Lock Haven, which outshot Pitt-Johnstown 25-5. Sumski was forced to make just two saves.
With the victory, Lock Haven improved to 2-0-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the PSAC.
The Mountain Cats host a PSAC match against Bloomsburg University on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before hosting a non-conference match against Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
