Mountain Cats suffer 3-0 loss at California (PA)

Jeffrey Kyei scored a pair of goals to help California University (PA) deal the Mountain Cats soccer team a 3-0 PSAC road loss on Sunday. Pitt-Johnstown had its two-match winning streak ended and fell to 2-4-0 overall and 0-3-0 in the PSAC.

Chris Hunkele put the Vulcans up 1-0 with his goal in the 21st minute of the match, before Kyei made it 2-0 with less than four minutes until halftime.

Kyei notched his second goal of the match off of Corey Kuzilla's touch pass in front of the net 11 minutes into the second half to set the final at 3-0.

Tim ofman made three saves, while allowing three goals in net for Pitt-Johnstown. Mitch Mack and Shane Donovan combined to make two saves and share the shutout in goal for California (PA).

With the win the Vulcans improved to 3-3-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the PSAC.

The Mountain Cats will visit Goldey-Beacom (DE) College for a non-conference match on Thursday, before traveling to Daemen (NY) College for another non-conference match on Sunday.
