Cambria Wierman had 11 kills and six digs, and
Madeline George and
Maura Brehl each had 10 kills, as Pitt-Johnstown bounced back from Friday's loss to sweep Seton Hill University, 25-19, 25-23, 25-21, in Saturday's first match of the PSAC East-West Volleyball Crossover in the Sports Center. The Lady Cats improved to 18-3 overall and 11-1 in the PSAC East.

A Wierman kill and two straight Seton Hill errors gave Pitt-Johnstown at 6-2 lead to start the first set. The Griffins narrowed the gap to one on six occasions, with the last coming at 13-12 on Katie Wenson's kill. The Lady Cats then pushed it back out to four on Brehl's service ace, before
Marissa Erminio's kill and another Seton Hill error put Pitt-Johnstown in front 20-13. The Lady Cats went on to close out the set, 25-19, on Brehl's kill.

In the second set, Seton Hill used a Rachel Satira kill and a Pitt-Johnstown ball handling error to open up a 7-3 lead, but the Lady Cats clawed back to tie it at 11 on back-to-back Griffins' attack errors. Seton Hill got its lead back out to three, before Pitt-Johnstown tied it 20 on Brehl's kill and took its first lead of the set at 21-20 on Wierman's kill. The Lady Cats never trailed after that, and got kills from
Kendall Mahony and
Marissa Erminio to seal the 25-23 win.

Looking for the sweep, Pitt-Johnstown built an 8-2 lead on
Allison Mondorff's kill and a Seton Hill attack error. George's kill increased the Lady Cats' advantage to 14-6, but the Griffins answered with a 13-6 run to pull to within one at 20-19 on Jessica Beal's kill. Pitt-Johnstown came right back to outscore Seton Hill 5-2, and close out the sweep, 25-21, on Wierman's 11 kill of the match.

Wierman had a team-high, while George finished with 10 kills and three blocks, and Brehl had 10 kills, two blocks and a pair of service aces for Pitt-Johnstown. In addition, Mahony had nine kills and three blocks, and Erminio added five kills.

Mondorff had 25 set assists and nine digs, and
Jessica Dillon had 17 assists and three digs. Pitt-Johnstown also got a match-high 28 digs from
Devan Orr, and nine digs from
Delaney Roman.

Seton Hill's Cassie Hausfeld led everyone with 12 kills. Maggie Murray chipped-in five kills, and Emily Gilles and Satira had four kills apiece for the Griffins, who dropped to 17-7 overall and 8-4 in the PSAC West.
