Brandon Robinson scored three goals to lead the Mountain Cat soccer team to 5-1 non-conference victory over Washington Adventist (MD) University, Friday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. Pitt-Johnstown earned its first win of the season and improved to 1-8-0.

Robinson's first goal just 30 seconds into the match put the Mountain Cats in front, before his second goal off the day off of
Matt Kinney's cross in the 18
th minute made it 2-0.

Darwin Caceres cut Washington Adventist's deficit in half with a goal in the 42
nd minute, but it was all Pitt-Johnstown after that.

The Mountain Cats collected three more unanswered goals in the second half to secure the win.Â
D.J. Vogelman scored off of a blast from the top of the box in the 56
th minute, and Robinson completed his hat trick off of a rebound 12 minutes later to make it 4-1. Â
Kevin Neskie then added one more insurance goal with just over 11 minutes to play that set the final at 5-1.

Nate Kleya earned the victory in goal for the Mountain Cats after facing 13 Washington Adventist shots, allowing one goal, and making three saves. Windell Reid suffered the loss for the Shock after surrendering all five goals on 19 Pitt-Johnstown shots. Reid also made three saves for Washington Adventist, which dropped to 2-4-1 on the season.

The Mountain Cats host a PSAC match against Mercyhurst University on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to a conference match at West Chester University on Tuesday.Â
