Pitt-Johnstown got 15 kills from
Cambria Wierman and 14 kills from
Kendall Mahony to extend its winning streak to nine consecutive matches with a 3-sets-to-1 PSAC Eastern Division victory over Lock Haven University, Tuesday night in the Sports Center. Â The Lady Cats improved to 13-2 overall and remained perfect in conference-play at 7-0.

Pitt-Johnstown won the first set 25-15, but Lock Haven answered with a 25-21 win in the second set. However, the Lady cats went on to close out the victory with convincing 25-9 and 25-14 wins in the finals two sets.

In the opening set, Pitt-Johnstown used a 9-3 run to break open a tie match and build a 13-7 advantage on a Mahony kill and a Lock Haven attack error. The Bald Eagles narrowed the gap to four at 14-10, but the Lady Cats pushed it out to 22-13 on
Madeline George's kill, before another kill by Mahony gave Pitt-Johnstown the 25-15 win.

Lock Haven got a kill from Brittany Moyer that erased an early three-point deficit and tied the second set at eight, but the Lady Cats quickly rebuilt the lead to 13-9 on Mahony's kill. However, the Bald Eagles stormed back to double-up Pitt-Johnstown 16-8 the rest of the way and evened the match at one set apiece with a 25-21 victory.

Pitt-Johnstown dominated the third set. Wierman and Mahony combined for five kills to help Pitt-Johnstown take control early and race out to a 9-1 lead. The Lady Cats extended it to 15-4 on back-to-back
Marissa Erminio kills and cruised to the lopsided 25-9 win.

Neither team was able to build a lead larger than two until the Lady Cats broke an 11-11 tie with nine straight points, capped by three kills from Wierman and one from Mahony, to make it 20-11. Gabrielle Stick's kill ended the run for Lock Haven, but it was too late. Pitt-Johnstown went on to the 25-14 win that sealed the match.

Wierman finished with a match-high 15 kills, six digs, and a pair of blocks, while Mahony had 14 kills and two blocks. Pitt-Johnstown also got 11 kills, nine digs, and two blocks from
Maura Brehl, nine kills and three blocks from Erminio, and three kills and six blocks from George.Â

Allison Mondorff had a match-high 34 set assists and eight digs, and
Jessica Dillon chipped-in 11 assists.Â
Devan Orr tallied 33 digs, and
Delaney Roman had 16 digs in the win.

Moyer's nine kills and Sarah Gomish's eight kills led the way for the Bald Eagles, who fell to 10-8 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC East.

The Lady Cats travel to PSAC matches at East Stroudsburg University and Kutztown University on Friday and Saturday, and a non-conference match on October 14, before hosting a PSAC Crossover on October 16-17 in the Sports Center.Â
