Cambria Wierman had 16 kills and 22 digs, and
Maura Brehl added 15 kills, but Lock Haven University rallied from a 2-sets-to-none deficit to deal the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team a five sets loss, Tuesday evening in Lock Haven. The Lady Cats had their seven-match winning streak snapped and slipped to 24-4 overall and 15-2 in the PSAC Eastern Division.

Pitt-Johnstown won the first two sets 25-20 and 25-21, but the Bald Eagles stormed back with 25-17, 25-23, and 15-12 wins to secure the victory.

Lock Haven started fast and scored the first three points, before building the lead to 13-7 on a Gabrielle Stick kill. Pitt-Johnstown answered with a 13-2 run, highlighted by nine straight points on
Devan Orr serves, to go in front 20-15 on kills from
Gabriell Carney and Wierman. The Bald Eagles narrowed it to 21-20, but the Lady Cats scored the final four points to take the opening set, 25-20.

Two straight kills from
Marissa Erminio gave Pitt-Johnstown a 14-8 advantage in the second set. Lock Haven scored three of the next four to make it 15-11, but a kill from Brehl increased the Lady Cats' lead to 22-16. The Bald Eagles came back to get it down to 23-20, before another kill from Brehl and a Lock Haven service error gave Pitt-Johnstown the 25-21 win and a 2-sets-to-none lead.

After falling behind 3-0 on Brehl's kill to open the third set, Lock Haven outscored the Lady Cats 14-4 to take a 14-7 lead on Sarah Gomish's kill. Wierman's kill got Pitt-Johnstown to within three, but the Bald Eagles finished strong and stayed alive with a 25-17 victory on Megan Flick's ace.

Brittany Moyer helped Lock haven jump out to a 6-2 lead in the third set, but five straight points, capped by a Wierman kill, put Pitt-Johnstown up by one. It remained close the rest of the way. The Bald Eagles got the lead back out to 19-15, before
Madeline George's kill and a Lock Haven error knotted it 21. Erminio's kill then gave the lead back to Pitt-Johnstown at 22-21. However, the Bald Eagles were able to hold on for a 25-23 win to force a fifth set.

Pitt-Johnstown used Orr's ace to take an early 4-2 lead in the final set, until a 6-2 Lock haven spurt made it 8-6. The Lady Cats battled back to tie it at nine on
Allison Mondorff's service ace and regain the lead 11-10 on a
Madeline George kill. The Bald Eagles quickly tied it and pushed it out to 14-1 on Megan Flick's kill, before completing the comeback with a 15-12 victory.

Along with Wierman and Brehl's efforts, Pitt-Johnstown also got 10 kills from Erminio and six kills from Carney.

Mondorff finished with a match-high 46 set assists and nine digs, while Orr had four aces and 34 digs.Â
Delaney Roman collected 16 digs, and
Jessica Dillon chipped-in six assists and eight digs for the Lady Cats.

Gomish led Lock Haven with a match-high 19 kills and 13 digs. Moyer had 15 kills and eight digs, and Flick tallied 13 kills and eight digs for the Bald Eagles, who improved to 17-11 overall and 9-8 in the PSAC East.

The Lady Cats return home to host their final two regular season home matches against Kutztown on Friday at 7 p.m. and East Stroudsburg for Senior Day on Saturday at 1 p.m.. Pitt-Johnstown will then close out the regular season at West Chester on November 13 and at Cheyney on November 14.Â
