Marley Elbin went 4-for-4 and scored three runs, but Saint Xavier (IL) University scored 10 runs over the first five innings and dealt the Pitt-Johnstown softball team a 16-6 loss, Thursday Night in Clermont, Fla. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 0-6.

Karlie Tomich and Shannon Whittig each had two hits and drove in a run, while
Stephanie Seibert tripled and scored for Pitt-Johnstown.Â
Emily Moore added an RBI single, and
Amanda O'Toole doubled to account for one of Pitt-Johnstown's 13 hits.

Melissa Wagner suffered the loss in the circle and fell to 0-3. Wagner surrendered 10 runs on seven hits over the first 5.1 innings. Moore pitched the final 1.2 innings and allowed six runs on five Saint Xavier hits.

With the win, Saint Xavier improved to 10-1-1 on the season.

Pitt-Johnstown closes out its Spring Break trip in Florida against Minot State (ND) and Urbana (OH) on Friday, before opening-up its inaugural season in the PSAC with a doubleheader at Gannon on Tuesday.Â
