Minot State (ND) dealt the Pitt-Johnstown softball team a 6-1 loss on Friday, before Urbana (OH) earned a 4-2 victory over Pitt-Johnstown, despite three hits from
Karlie Tomich, to close out the 2015 Spring Trip in Clermont, Fla.

In game one, Tomich and
Stephanie Seibert accounted for both of Pitt-Johnstown's hits.Â
Allison Rizzo scored the lone run after she reached on an error, then scored from second on another Minot State error.

Melissa Wagner pitched all seven innings and took the loss to fall to 0-3. Wagner allowed six runs on 13 Minot State hits. She also fanned a pair.

In game two, Elbin went 3-for-4, while
Taylor Hoover had an RBI double, and
Jenna Wolsonovich added an RBI single for Pitt-Johnstown.  Pitt-Johnstown also got base hits from
Marley Elbin and
Shannon Wittig in the 4-2 loss.

Rachel Hoffman fell to 0-3 after surrendering four runs on five hits in six innings. Hoffman also struck out four and walked three.

Pitt-Johnstown begins its inaugural season in the PSAC with a doubleheader at Gannon on Tuesday, before hosting a conference doubleheader against Clarion on Saturday.
