Slippery Rock built leads in both ends of Monday's PSAC-West softball doubleheader at Richland Elementary School and went on to sweep Pitt-Johnstown 14-1 in five innings, and 10-2 in six innings.Â
Stephanie Seibert collected four hits on the day to lead Pitt-Johnstown, now 4-20 overall and 4-12 in the PSAC West.

In the opener, The Rock scored five runs in the second inning, before exploding for nine more in the third inning on its way to the 14-1 victory.

Seibert went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Mountain Cats.Â
Karlie Tomich,
Montana Mang, and
Amanda O'Toole also had base hits for Pitt-Johnstown.

Rachel Hoffman fell to 3-9 after surrendering 10 runs on eight Slippery rock hits in two innings in the circle.Â
Emily Moore pitched the final three innings and gave up four runs on seven hits.

In game two, Pitt-Johnstown took an early lead, but Slippery Rock the lead with a pair of runs in the fourth inning, and tacked on four more in each of the next two innings to coast to the 10-2 win.

The Mountain cats took a 1-0 lead in the third inning.Â
Amber Maurer led off the inning with a base hit and eventually scored on Seibert's single down the right field line. However, The Rock quickly regain the lead and never looked back.

Seibert added two more hits, an RBI and a run scored, while Maurer singled and drove in one for Pitt-Johnstown. Mang had a double, and
Shannon Wittig, Tomich, and Hoffman also collected hits.

Wagner suffered the loss in the circle for Pitt-Johnstown after giving up 10 runs (8 earned) on 14 hits. With the loss, Wagner dropped to 1-11 on the season.

Slippery Rock raised its overall record to 11-15 overall and evened its record in the PSAC West at 8-8 with the doubleheader sweep.

Pitt-Johnstown will host a PSAC West doubleheaders against California (PA) on Friday at 3 p.m., and Seton Hill on Saturday at 1 p.m. Both games are scheduled to be played at Richland Elementary School.Â
