Karlie Tomich collected three hits and drove in three in Saturday's PSAC-West doubleheader at Mercyhurst on her way to leading Pitt-Johnstown to 5-4 and 8-4 victories. With the sweep, Pitt-Johnstown improved to 7-27 overall and 9-17 in conference play.

In game one, the Mountain Cats erased a two-run deficit with five runs in the top of the sixth en route to the 5-4 victory.

Taylor Hoover, and
Rachel Hoffman all had hits and an RBI, while
Melissa Wagner drove in a run for Pitt-Johnstown. Tomich also collected a bases hit for the Mountain Cats.

Melissa Wagner pitched a complete-game in the circle for Pitt-Johnstown to improve to 3-14. Wagner held the Lakers to four runs on seven hits. She also walked four and struck out four.

In game two, the Mountain Cats jumped on Mercyhurst starter Alexandra Puckly for four first inning runs, before adding two more in each of the fifth and seventh innings in the 8-4 victory.

Tomich had two more hits, including a double, and three RBI, and
Montana Mang went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored.Â
Amanda O'Toole had two hits and drove in two, and Seibert finished with two hits and two runs scored.Â
Marley Elbin, Hoover, and Hoffman all added hits for the Mountain Cats.

Hoffman improved to 4-12 with a complete-game effort. Hoffman gave up four runs on seven hits, while walking two and striking out two.

With the losses, Mercyhurst fell to 15-27 overall and 9-18 in the PSAC Western Division.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to Gannon for a PSAC doubleheader on Sunday, before closing out the 2015 season with two more conference games against the Golden Knights on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Indiana University (PA).
