Seton Hill University struck for three goals in a span of eight minutes midway through the second half on its way to earning a 3-1 PSAC victory over the Mountain Cat soccer team, Tuesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. Pitt-Johnstown fell to 0-8-0 overall and 0-4-0 in conference-play.
After a scoreless first half in the rain, the Griffins got on the scoreboard when Seon Ripley finished Louis Mason's throughball in the 72nd minute. Seton Hill made it 2-0 three minutes later on Tom Urquhart's goal, before building the lead to 3-0 after Urquhart's cross was chipped behind Mountain Cat goalkeeper
Nate Kleya in the 80th minute.
Pitt-Johnstown took advantage of an own goal in the 87th minute, but that was as close as Pitt-Johnstown could get.
Kleya, who faced 20 Seton Hill shots, took the loss after allowing all three goals and making a pair of saves. Cameron Evans earned the victory in net for Seton Hill after seeing just three shots. Evans was forced to make just on save.
