Fifth-ranked Evan Link opened the match with a third period fall, and the fourth-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers won the final six bouts to break open a 3-point match in a 36-8 PSAC victory at Seton Hill University on Wednesday.  The Mountain Cats improved to 10-1 overall and 3-0 in the PSAC.
 
Pitt-Johnstown raced out to a 12-0 lead after two bouts.  At 125 lbs., fifth-ranked Evan Link built a 14-0 lead after two periods, before pinning Collin Dees at 5:23 of the third period, and Nick Roberts won by forfeit at 133 lbs.
 
The Griffins got right back in it with two straight wins of their own.  Seton Hill answered with Joey Allesandro's 16-0 technical fall at 6:08 over Joe Davis at 141 lbs., before eight-ranked Ty Lydic defeated Luke Palamides, 9-2, at 149 lbs. to cut the deficit to 12-8.
 
However, that was as close as it would get.  Pitt-Johnstown went on to win ( ) of the final six bouts to pull away from the Griffins.
 
At 157 lbs., Devin Austin used a takedown with 40 seconds left in the match and added a riding time point to down Tanner Druck, 4-1, and Tyler Reinhart earned a 12-0 major decision over Andrew Doak at 165 lbs. to build the lead to 19-8.
 
The Mountain Cats continued to roll with major decision victories at 174 and 184 lbs.  John Blankenship defeated Christian Bosco, 10-1, and second-ranked Travis McKillop won a 15-1 major decision over Morris Lawson to extend it to 27-8.
 
Pitt-Johnstown closed it out with a 2-1 decision by Jacob Hart over Jake Temple at 197 lbs., and a fall by third-ranked D.J. Sims at 4:01 over Alex Soutiere at 285 lbs.
 
With the loss, Seton Hill slipped to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the PSAC.
 
The Mountain Cats start a stretch of three straight home matches against Gannon on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown will also host nationally-ranked Wheeling Jesuit (WV) on January 29 and Millersville on February 5.
