Pitt-Johnstown got a match-high 22 kills and 17 digs from
Cambria Wierman, then held off California University (PA) in five sets after building a 2-sets-to-none lead on Saturday to improve to 18-7 overall and 11-2 in the PSAC Central Division.

The Lady Cats started strong and won the first two sets 25-16 and 25-19, before the Vulcans battled back to force a fifth set with 25-14 and 25-16 wins of their own. However, Pitt-Johnstown was able to secure their third consecutive victory with a 15-12 win in the final set.

Along with Wierman's effort, the Lady Cats also got 17 kills and 13 digs from
Maura Brehl and 16 kills and eight digs from
Marissa Erminio.Â
Kendall Mahony had eight kills and a pair of blocks.

Allison Mondorff added a match-high 58 set assists and 18 digs for Pitt-Johnstown, while
Devan Orr had five assists and a match-high 32 digs.

California (PA), which dropped to 17-7 overall and 9-4 in the PSAC Northwest Division, was led by Danielle Hayes' 20 kills, three blocks, and 17 digs. Seairra Barrett tallied 10 kills and eight blocks, and Ashley Leto and Lois van Schalk each had eight kills for the Vulcans.

Pitt-Johnstown returns home to host PSAC matches in the Sports Center against Indiana (PA) on Friday at 7 p.m. and Clarion on Saturday at 1 p.m.
