After suffering a loss in the opening bout, the third ranked Mountain Cat wrestlers stormed back with a technical fall from fifth-ranked Cody Law at 157 lbs. and a pin by top-ranked Tyler Reinhart at 165 lbs. to win eight of the final nine bouts to close out Sunday's Grapple in the Garden at Madison Square Garden with a 36-6 victory over LIU-Post.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 5-0.
 
LIU-Post took an early 3-0 lead with Anthony Sparacio's 5-2 decision over Zeke Beatty at 125 lbs., before Nolan Link pinned Jackie Gold at 6:25 in the 133-lb. bout to give Pitt-Johnstown a lead it would never give up.
 
The Mountain Cats got a 6-2 decision by Chris Eddins at 141 lbs., and an 8-0 major decision win by Cole Landowski over Jesse Meaney at 149 lbs. to go up 13-3.
 
Law scored a 26-11 technical fall over Jackson Mordente, and Reinhart, the defending National Champion, followed by pinning Eddie Ramirez at 1:31 to increase the Mountain Cats' lead to 24-3.
 
Ninth-ranked John Blankenship then defeated Region No. 5 Dan Arlow, 4-1 at 174 lbs., and Levi Niebauer earned an 11-7 win over Dan McClure.
 
LIU-Post snapped the streak of seven straight losses with Jake Horton's 9-4 decision over Tyler Oliver at 197 lbs., but Pitt-Johnstown closed out the 33-point win with Allan Beattie's injury default win over Fred Vidal at 285 lbs.  Beattie built an 11-0 lead in the second period, before Vidal defaulted.
 
With the loss, LIU-Post slipped to 0-2.
 
The Mountain Cats return home to host No. 11 Ashland (OH) University on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to the 2016 PSAC Championships at Lock Haven University on December 10.
